Drilling Equipment

BBS-56

The BBS-56 is a deep hole drill that can utilize a wide variety of bit sizes. It is a conventional drill powered by a six cylinder diesel engine and a heavy duty five speed transmission. It has a 30 inch head stroke and comes in skid mount and truck mounted versions.

F1000

The F1000 was designed and built by Falcon Drilling for use at remote drilling sites accessible only by helicopter. It can be quickly taken apart and moved by helicopter from one site to another. This minimizes the environmental impact as well as reducing site reclamation requirements and costs. The F1000 is a hydraulically driven drill powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine that provides maximum fuel efficiency. It is equipped with a five-foot head stroke for improved productivity and core recovery. The drill is very versatile and can be mounted on skids, truck or an all-terrain vehicle.

F1000 Trailer Drill

The F1000 trailer-mounted drill was manufactured in Burkina Faso to meet local requirements.  It provides very low environmental impact with high maneuverability, high ground clearance and minimal ground damage.  The core size and depth capabilities are the same as the standard Falcon F1000 drill.

F1500

The F1500 was developed and built by Falcon Perforaciones Mexico in response to the need for a helicopter transportable drill with deeper drilling capability than the F1000. In addition to drilling deeper, it is also able to use N and NTW sized bits as well as the usual B and BTW bits. It is a hydraulically driven drill powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine offering excellent fuel efficiency. It is equipped with a five-foot head stroke for improved productivity and core recovery. Like the F1000 it is available in helicopter portable, truck mobile or skid mounted versions.

F3000

Larger than the F1000, the F3000 is generally supplied as a skid mounted drill but is also provided as a fly drill assembly which is easily disassembled and moved with a helicopter from one site to another. Again, the design focus was based upon versatility, protection of the environment and reduced reclamation costs. The F3000 can also be skid mounted or truck mounted for year round operations in any climate.

F5000

The F5000 was designed and built by Falcon Drilling for deep hole exploration. The drill is mounted on a hydraulically supported self-levelling drill shack and is equipped with a 10-foot stroke for maximum productivity and core recovery. The F5000 is skid mounted which allows it to be moved quickly from site to site by means of industrial support equipment such as Cats or Excavators.

F6000

The F6000 was designed and built by Falcon Drilling for deep hole exploration. The drill is equipped with a 10-foot stoke for maximum productivity and core recovery. The F6000 is mounted on tracks which allow it to move quickly from site to site with minimal ground disturbance and environmental impact.

The Rough Terrain Drill

These agile, portable drill rigs and support vehicles are ideally designed for remote access and have very little impact on the environment. This mobile drill rig is completely self-propelled and moves on its own utilizing the two all-terrain vehicles as the means of transport. There is no need for any additional support vehicles. The low ground pressure tires and high ground clearance of the suspension minimize ground and vegetation disturbance while allowing access over difficult terrain.
This very unique member of our drill family was designed and built by our company’s mechanical team. It started out as a prototype for a drill job in central B.C. and is now in operation in Burkino Faso, Africa.
